6/22/2009 -Men's Cross Country- TORNADO CROSS COUNTRY READY FOR COMPETITIVE SEASON
BRISTOL, TENN. - Leading the charge for the men’s team is King College 5,000 meter school record holder and 2008 NAIA National qualifier Daniel Hamilton (Franklin, N.C.). Hamilton lowered his personal record and was also a triple recipient of the AAC “Runner of the Week” award during last season and will be counted on to lead team Tornado. Joining Hamilton up front is freshmen phenomenon Ryan Pierce (Seymour, Tenn.) who excelled during the track season by lowering his 5,000 meter personal record from 17:52 to 15:45 in just a few short months. Pierce’s work ethic and determination will ensure success when it counts. Rising senior Joseph Pair (Franklin, Tenn.), who just missed a national qualifying mark by a mere 6 seconds, is back to proved that this is his year. Pair is a key element to the success of the Tornado during the 2009 season. <more>
