Bristol, Tenn. — The King University Women's Cross Country team turned in a strong performance at the 
2025 Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships on October 24 at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, North Carolina. The Tornado placed 
fifth overall with a team score of 138 points.
Junior 
Ermay Vazquez (Commerce, Ga.) led the Tornado effort, placing 11th overall with a time of 23:57.02. She was followed closely by junior 
Emily Ward (Jonesborough, Tenn.
), who finished 18th in 24:23.00, and junior 
Lexie LaDuc (Woodbury, Tenn.
), who crossed the line in 24:24.32 for 19th place.
Freshman 
Kailee-Ann Conner (Kingsport, Tenn.
) contributed a 37th-place finish in 25:57.66, while senior 
Amanda Lowery (Bristol, Tenn.
) added valuable points with a 60th-place finish in 27:30.36. Sophomore 
Faith Carter (Anchorage, Ak.
) rounded out the lineup in 72nd with a time of 28:15.46.
The Tornado's fifth-place finish came against a competitive field, with 
North Greenville capturing the team title in 1:58:50.76, followed by Converse, Lees-McRae, and Mount Olive.
The Tornado women will now prepare for the upcoming NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championships.
