6-2  |  180 lbs.
RHP  |  R/R

Tyler Troutman served as a main threat from the rubber for the Rebels. In five starts on the bump for Sullivan South High School, Troutman held a 2.77 earned run average and a 3-1 record in five starts and three relief appearances. He has one complete game and 37 strikeouts over 33.1 innings pitched on his resume.

He is a very motivated young man that will definitely help our pitching staff in the future. Tyler is a great student in the classroom and will be a perfect fit academically and athletically for King."

RYAN O'NEAL
Cedar Hill, Tenn.  |  Jo Byrns H.S.
6-2  |  190 lbs.
Outfield  |  R/R

Ryan O'Neal is one of two outfielders being brought in to King's program in this signing class. He played under Ronny Carlisle at Jo Byrns High School (Cedar Hill, Tenn.). In 36 games as a junior for the Red Devils, O'Neal went 30-for-75 to hit at an even .400 clip. He scored 31 runs, drew 11 walks, and had eight extra-base hits (8 2B, 2 3B) while driving in 21 runs.

"Ryan is a big body outfielder with some pop," said Coach Brown. "He has a very smooth stroke and the ball jumps off his bat.   We look for Ryan to come in and develop into a middle of the order guy."

MARCUS SCHREIBER
Ashburn, Va.  |  Stone Bridge H.S.
 6-2  |  180
Outfield  |  L/R

An outfielder under Coach Sam Plank, Schreiber is an athletic presence on the diamond that has excelled at the high school and high-class summer league level. As a junior with the Bulldogs, he hit .400 with 14 extra-base hits (6 2B, 5 3B, 3 HR) in 2012.

"Marcus is a very toolsy left handed hitting outfielder with a huge upside. He plays for one of the best travel teams on the East Coast," said Coach Brown. "Every time we have seen Marcus he has gotten better. His ceiling is unlimited and when he puts it all together his future is very bright."

CONNER INSKEEP
Chesapeake, Va.  |  Indian River H.S.
6-0  |  180 lbs.
RHP  |  R/R

Conner Inskeep will add depth as a crafty right-handed pitcher for the Tornado. In limited time with the Braves of Indian River High School, Inskeep averaged 1.16 strikeouts per inning pitched while holding a 14:3 strikeout-to-walk ration and a 1.08 earned run average. Though injured most of Spring 2012, Inskeep recovered quickly to have a great summer season.

"Conner is a kid who knows how to pitch. His mid-80s fastball has natural cut. He doesn't throw anything straight. His slider is hard and will be a plus pitch. He is a bulldog on the mound and will help solidify our pitching staff for the future," said Coach Brown.

Coach Brown said of the class of five signees:

"We are excited about the crop of high school kids we signed early. Each one of them has a chance to come in and compete for playing time early in their career. All of them are proven players at the high school level individually and will compete for state championships with great teams this spring.

Not only are these student-athlete's great on the field, but each one is a high character kid who really focuses in on the classroom. This group has a combined grade point average of 3.5 with some perfect 4.0s in there. This class will continue the success on the field and the classroom for King Baseball.

Recruiting coordinator Coach [Luke] Howard, coaches [Jake] Cockerham, [George] Laoo, and [Dustin] Pannell deserve a lot of credit. They are constantly grinding it out, finding quality student-athletes. They are always beating the bushes and all their hard work has paid off."
