BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following a week where the King University baseball posted a record of 4-1 and took a road sweep at Limestone College, second basemen Steven Todoschuk was named Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week.
The junior record three multi-hit games last week, and had a batting average of .429 in five games. Todoschuk, a native of Stoney Creek, Ontario scored at least two runs in four of the five games for a total of nine for the week. Against Concord he went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and drove in two. Against Limestone, he hit his second home run of the season in game one and went 3-for-5, drove in two and scored twice. For the week, Todoschuk had a slugging percentage of .714 and on base percentage of .520.
The Tornado baseball team is in action this afternoon at Mars Hill College. King returns home to face Tusculum College tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
