BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College welcomes riders for the 2011 Tornado Cycling Classic as a part of the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference road racing season for races on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday riders will have the opportunity to take part in road racing that begins and ends at Mary Hughes Elementary School in nearby Piney Flats. The course will be a rolling flat 22 mile loop that was also the Tennessee Road Race layout this year.
The first college road race will be at 8:30 a.m. with the final race scheduled for 12:40 p.m.
Later on Saturday collegiate riders will go 6.5 miles in the team time trial on highway 394 and go to Bristol Motor Speedway.
Sunday action starts at 8:30 a.m. with the college criterium at Bristol Motor Speedway.
After the collegiate races, various races will be contested for anyone.
