BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University head men's basketball coach George Pitts announced former Tornado student-athlete, J.T. Blair is joining his staff. Blair spent last season as an assistant coach at Lees-McRae College after graduating from King in 2010.
Blair graduated from King with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Coaching. He has extensive experience coaching basketball as he worked a numerous camps throughout his time at King. He has worked as a basketball camp counselor at King, Clemson University and the Camp of Champions in Knoxville.
While at King, Blair was a two-time team captain and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was also named to the 2009 Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Tournament team and was honored with the NAIA Champion of Character award.
Among Blair's many responsibilities at Lees-McRae was recruiting as well as team travel and video editing.
