BRISTOL, Tenn. – Last week may not have been the best of weeks for the King University men's basketball team, but Hunter LeVeau earned recognition from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association for his performance. LeVeau averaged 21.0 points per game earning the TSWA Men's Basketball Player of the Week award.
The Johnson City, Tenn., native led all scorers with 22 points off the bench against Belmont Abbey College, hitting 8-of-14 shots overall, including 6-for-11 from 3-point range. He added three assists and two rebounds in 34 minutes. He followed that with 20 points and nine rebounds against Pfeiffer University, connecting on 8-of-16 shots with four more trifectas in 25 minutes.
The freshman forward leads the club with averages of 14.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 43.0 percent from behind the arc.
King closes the regular season Tuesday night at North Greenville University before they open the Conference Carolinas Tournament powered by OrthoCarolina on Saturday night.
