GREENVILLE, S.C. – The King University men's golf team improved on their first round score at the Cliffs Intercollegiate with a second round of 298 to place fifth with a total of 604. Mathias Bunaes led the Tornado with an eighth place finish.
Bunaes improved his first round score of 74 with a 73 in the second round to finish eighth with a total of 147. Ross Maietta followed with a tournament total of 149 after carding an even-par 72 in the second round to take 11th place. Leennawat Numpituckchaikul came in next with a two-day total of 153 after his second round of 75.
Taylor Gouge shot 78 in the second round and finished with a stroke total of 155 while John Scott finished at 161 after his second round of 81. Sam Hobday competed as an individual and finished with a stroke total of 168.
King will be in action again on April 13-15 at the Conference Carolinas Championships in Greensboro, N.C.
