Tornado move up, take 6th at SE Region Preview

CONOVER, N.C. – The King University men's golf team moved up the leaderboard in the final round of the Southeast Region Preview to take sixth place with a stroke total of 587. Robert Wilkinson led the way for the Tornado, taking 12th place with a tournament score of 145.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Wilkinson carded a round of one-under 71 in the final round, giving him a tournament total of 145.
  • Matthew Dalrymple also carded a round of one-under 71 in the second round, finishing with a tournament total of 146.
  • Coming in next was Alex Summers who shot even-par 72, giving him a tournament total of 147.
  • Alex Bradford finished with a stroke total of 151 following his second round of even-par 72.
  • Rounding out the team was Wataru Koguchi with a tournament total of 159 after his second round of 82.

FOR THE FOES

  • Barton College won the tournament with a total of 572 while Belmont Abbey College finished second at 578.
  • Nick Stafford of Belmont Abbey won the individual tournament with a total of eight-under 136. He carded a round of nine-under 63 on Tuesday.
