BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College's Tom Winspear scored two goals in each half of the Tornado's 6-1 victory over visiting Concord (W.Va.) University Tuesday.
Winspear (Yarm, England) needed just 24 seconds to score the Tornado's first goal. He was provided the assist by Sam Nicol (Midlothian, Scotland). Winspear struck again during the 40th minute with an assist by Pete Griffith (Ballyclare, Northern Ireland). The second half scores by Winspear were in the 67th and 87th minutes. Jesse Cheers (Bristol, Va.) and Erik Douglas (Asheville, N.C.) provided assists on the 67th minute score while the final goal was unassisted.
For Winspear it was his second four-goal effort of the season as he has 10 goals this season with all coming in the last six contests.
King improved to 3-8-1 while Concord went to 0-9-3.
Douglas got into the scoring column with his goal in the 84th minute that came directly off a corner kick. Nicol also scored in the 10th minute and the ball was played to him by Josh Feener (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.).
