Tornado overtaken by Flagler

BANNER ELK, N.C. - King College was defeated 1-0 Saturday in men's soccer action by Flagler College in a contest played at Lees-McRae (N.C.) College.

King moved to  0-1-1 and the Tornado will go to Anderson (S.C.) University to play a 5 p.m. match Wednesday.  Flagler, the preseason favorite to win the Peach Belt Conference, owns a 2-0 record.

Flagler used a one-touch goal by Will Frandsen off a cross by Eammon Murphy in the 52nd minute. Frandsen placed the ball into the far corner.

King's Patrick Milfield had two saves in the contest.

In the first half King had six shots with only one by Flagler, but three offside calls hindered Flagler's efforts.
