King Swimming & Diving Downed by Limestone in Dual

Rachel Fuller won the women's 200-yard butterfly, highlighting the Tornado's performance in a dual match with the Limestone Saints on Saturday.

GAFFNEY, S.C. – King Swimming & Diving suffered defeats on both the men's and women's side at the hands of the Limestone Saints on Saturday. The men's team lost 213-37 while the women fell 203-45. The dual was held at the Timken Aquatic Center.

Rachel Fuller (North Augusta, S.C.) pulled out an individual victory for the Lady Tornado in the 200-yard butterfly event with a 2:23.50 finish time. She and Malorie McBride (Nashville, Tenn.) took the first and second spots in the event.

Other top performances on the women's side include a second place finish by Fuller in the 100 butterfly and Kelsey Copeland's second place finish in the 50 free (27.84).

On the men's side, freshman Christian Knobloch (Auburn, Wash.) finished third in the 100 free (52.18) while Taylor Horton (Conyers, Ga.) also put forth a third place finish in the 50 free (23.56).

Both teams will compete in their third dual meet of the season at Berry College (Mount Berry , Ga.) on Oct. 13.
