MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. – The King University men's swimming and diving team was defeated twice on Friday night, losing to Pfeiffer University 95-23 and falling to hosts Milligan College 71-50.
Junior Nicholas Piumelli headlined the Tornado on Friday night. He won the 100 meter breaststroke in 1:11.11 before finishing second in the 200 meter breaststroke with a time of 2:39.09.
The Tornado also received a pair of second place finishes from sophomore Reynold Thibideau and senior Christian Knobloch. Thibideau was the runner-up in the 100 meter backstroke, missing first place by just .19 seconds. Knobloch finished tied with Marquise Snipes of Pfeiffer for second in the 100 meter freestyle, with each finishing the event in 58.20 seconds.
The Tornado will return to action on Friday, November 22 against Warren Wilson College. The event will take place at Virginia High School in Bristol, Va.
