Tornado Tennis makes impact on NCCAA Scholar-Athlete team

GREENVILLE, S.C. – King College had five student-athletes named to the 2011 NCCAA Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete list, the national office announced.

Seth Hale (Knoxville, Tenn.), Patrick Jones (Bristol, Tenn.), Eiki Magnusson (Reykjavick, Iceland), Oriol Mirallas (Barcelona, Spain) and Nick Smith (Kingsport, Tenn.) were among the 34 on the team. Mirallas was on the team for a second straight season while the other four made it for the first time.

King and Campbellsville (Ky.) University both had five to share the top spot with the most from any school. Cedarville (Ohio) and Bethel (Ind.) College both placed four on the team. In all 14 schools were represented on the team.

The Tornado ended the season with a 15-9 record and the team reached the NCCAA National Championship for a second straight season.
