Trojans top King 7-2

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University men's tennis team travel to take on Mount Olive College, who was undefeated in Conference Carolinas play. The Trojans came out and gained control of the duel match early en route to the 7-2 win.

Mount Olive (11-1, 7-0 CC) started the day with an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles and followed that with 8-4 and 8-3 wins at No. 2 and No. 1 doubles, respectively.

Pablo Vidal gave King their first win of the day as he defeated Gabriel Santana 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. William Boyce defeated Jack Framton 6-0, 1-6, 10-5 at No. 6 singles to give the Tornado (7-5, 1-3 CC) another win. However, it wasn't enough as the Trojans won the other four singles matches to take the duel match 7-2.

King will be in action again on Tuesday when they travel to Lees-McRae College. The duel match is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
