Tornado play Wofford tough, but fall 7-0

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The King University men's tennis team started their spring season with an exhibition at Wofford College. The Terriers took the contest 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Wofford took the doubles point, but it was tight at the top two flights.
  • The Tornado duo of Lennard Neumann and Alejandro Feliciano dropped a tight 7-6 decision to John Crawford and Julian Chousa at the top flight.
  • At No. 2 doubles, Lenny Keswani and Arturo Alfaro fell 6-4 to Jack Thomas and Lucas Cerbelli.
  • In singles play, Keswani went three sets with Cerbelli, falling 6-3, 6-7, 10-8.
  • Neumann played Chousa tough at the second flight, but fell 7-6, 6-1.
  • The Terriers took the final four matches to take the dual 7-0.

  • The Tornado are in action again on Saturday when they take on Cumberland University. The match will be played at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., at 1:00 p.m.
