The indoor track season proved to be successful on both the men's and women's teams. Many personal records were achieved, while some school records were broken as well. On the women's side 11 were named to the Southeast All-Region team. Lanneickia Brewton is on the All-Region team for the 60 meter, 200 meter, and 400 meter dash as well as the 4x400 relay team. Brewton is the conference champion in the 200 meter dash. Shelbie Burchfield placed second in the High Jump. Maegan Henry is on the All-Region team for both her Shot Put and Weight Throw performances. She took the conference title in the weight throw with a throw of 14.41m. Tia Nelson and Alexis Robinson are recognized for their 200 meter dash performance, placing third and fourth in the conference championship. Danielle Beauvais, Eliza Parker, Atlanta Westbrook and Hannah Witt are recognized for their performance in the Distance Medley Relay. Lanneickia Brewton, Ashley Ruth, Callie Todt, and Atlanta Westbrook are recgonized for their stellar performance in the 4x400 meter relay where they placed second in the conference with a time of 4:08.68. Atlanta Westbrook is also recognized for her 400 meter dash, long jump, and triple jump accomplishments in which she took second place for the conference with a 5.20m jump. Hannah Witt is recognized for her 3000 meter and 5000 meter performances in which she broke both school records and set personal records for both events, lowering her 5000 meter time to an impressive 17:31.
On the men's side, Spencer Frantom is recognized for his 5000 meter performance in which he lowered his time to 15:13 which is a new school and personal record. Eric Jones is recognized for his long jump performance. Joktan Moore is recognized for both the triple and long jump where he placed second in the conference with his 13.58m triple jump. Justin Newring is recognized for his performances in the 200 and 400 meter dash, as well as the 4x400 meter relay. Newring placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.60. Forrest Stuart is recognized in the Southeast Region for his stellar performance in the long jump where he took the individual conference title with a 6.79m jump. Jordan Tippens is recognized as part of the 4x400 meter relay team which finished second in the Conference Carolinas with an impressive 3:25.14. Reggie Warren is recognized for his performances in both the 400 meter dash, placing third with a 50.61, and the 4x400 meter relay as well.
Both teams enter the outdoor track and field season with great energy as Indoor Conference Carolina's Champions and are working toward more personal records, national qualifying times, and an outdoor conference championship as well.
