Tornado finish fourth at Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The King University men’s track and field team used outstanding performances by its usual cast of heroes to turn in a fourth place at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships on Sunday afternoon.

Newring, Parker and Conference Carolinas weekly awards
BRISTOL, Tenn. – In their final tune up for the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships, both Eliza Parker and Justin Newring turned in stellar performances last week at the Mountaineer Open. Parker was named Conference Carolinas Women’s Indoor Track Player of the week, and Newring earned the same honor on the men’s side.

Tornado set slew of personal records at Mountaineer Open
BOONE, N.C. – The King University men’s track and field team had a stellar performance at the 2014 Mountaineer Open at Appalachian State University on Friday and Saturday, with a number of personal records falling and wins in the 400 and 3,000 meter events by Justin Newring and Brent Swiney.

Three Tornado set personal records at Hilton Garden Invitational
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Justin Newring finished fourth in the 400 meter dash to improve his NCAA provisional qualifying time to headline the King University men’s track and field team in the Hilton Garden Invitational on Friday and Saturday in a meet that featured a number of NCAA Division I teams.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The King University men’s track and field team opened 2014 at the Wake Forest Invitational at the JDL FastTrack. The Tornado set three personal records at the season opening event.

Tornado expectations set high for 2014
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Coming off one of the most successful season’s in program history, the King University men’s track & field team is hungry to exceed this year’s expectations. The Tornado took the Conference Carolinas Indoor championship in 2013, but came up just short in the outdoor meet leaving room for improvement in 2014.

Newring posts NCAA provisional time in season opener
BOONE, N.C. – The King University men’s track & field team started the season on a high note at the Appalachian Invitational hosted by Appalachian State University. The Tornado finished first among six non NCAA Division II teams, and Justin Newring highlighted the day as he posted a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in the 200 meter dash.
