GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College's Naseem Haje ran to the NCCAA Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week award, given by the national office.
Haje, a sophomore from Hagerstown, Md., broke his school record for a second time this season with a run of 25 minutes and 45 seconds Friday at the Royal Cross Country Challenge. He lowered the program record by 10 seconds. Haje's effort helped King to a ninth-place finish as a team which in turn boosted the Tornado to No. 3 in this week's NCAA Division II Southeast Region Ranking.
King will run in the Cavalier Invitational on Nov. 5.
