A total of 35 schools were represented on the women's side while 57 schools placed someone as an All-Region runner on the men's side. In addition 32 schools, including King, placed runners on both the men's and women's All-Region lists. Adams State's men led the nation with seven runners earning All-Region honors. Grand Valley State's men followed with six.

On the women's side, Grand Valley State bested the field with six honorees, followed by Chico State, Adams State, Shippensburg, and Stonehill which had five apiece.

King will send the Lady Tornado team to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Dec. 4 in Louisville, Ky., at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. The Lady Tornado, under the direction of head coach Peter Dalton, used a second-place team finish to secure King's first NCAA Division II National Championship appearance in school history. This is the first season for the Tornado and Lady Tornado squads to compete as a NCAA Division II institution. The Tornado was just on the outside finishing fourth in the team standings at Saturday's region event.
