BRISTOL, Tenn. – King College Softball has announced two changes to its upcoming schedule, affecting games against Milligan College and St. Andrews Presbyterian College. The Lady Tornado will now play the Buffaloes of Milligan College on Wednesday, April 4, and will play the Black Knights of St. Andrews on Tuesday, April 17.
King's game against Milligan was originally scheduled for April 10 but will now be played tomorrow (Wednesday), April 4. The Buffaloes and Lady Tornado will play a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the King College Softball Complex. King's doubleheader with St. Andrews that was originally scheduled for April 5 will be pushed back to April 17. The Black Knights and Lady Tornado will play two beginning at 2:00 p.m. at home.
King is 22-12 overall and 9-7 in Conference Carolinas play this season. They are currently third in the West Division and trail Erskine College by two games in the divisional standings. The Lady Tornado have five of their last six games including two consecutive, dramatic walk-off victories with game-ending home runs from Kendall Brabson in each contest.
The top eight teams based by conference winning percentage advance to the Conference Carolinas Tournament. If the season ended today, King would be the fifth seed in the tournament and face would-be fourth seed Mount Olive.
