INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - King College held onto seven Top-100 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Stat Rankings, the national office announced.
The highest ranking was the No. 35 spot by Ashley Deans (Greeneville, Tenn.) in free-throw percentage with an 84.3 mark. She was No. 81 in both scoring and field-goal percentage with a 16.5 points per game average and 47.9 percentage from the floor.
King maintained the No. 39 ranking in free-throw percentage at 73.9.
Derika Mooney (Athens, Tenn.) stole the No. 64 ranking in steals per game with 2.4, up three spots.
The Lady Tornado added the No. 70 spot in assists per game with 14.5 and was No. 95 in three-point field goals per game as the team averaged 5.7.
King, at 11-16, will be a part of the NCCAA Mid-East Region Tournament March 11-12 in Lookout Mountain, Ga. First for the top-seeded Lady Tornado in the semifinal will be a contest against host Covenant (Ga.) College, the No. 4 seed, Friday at 7 p.m. The semifinal winners will meet Saturday at 2 p.m. with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCCAA Division I National Tournament March 17-19.
