Tornado Basketball to Host Community Day Saturday!

BRISTOL, Tenn. – To show our appreciation for the continued support of King Athletics and Tornado Basketball are hosting Community Day. As a part of the event, free admission will be provided and a variety of giveaways for all fans in attendance of the men's and women's basketball games on Jan. 7 versus Mount Olive University. Among the opportunities for prizes will be a chance to win a set of NASCAR race tickets for two events at Bristol Motors Speedway this March.
 

Community Day is being held this Saturday, Jan. 7 for the basketball doubleheader matchup pitting the Tornado against the Trojans of Mount Olive. Fans of either team will be admitted free of charge to both games at the Student Center Complex as the first wave of appreciation for their continued support this season.

Various contests will be held throughout both games including a free throw shooting competition in addition to King College and Bristol community trivia. Contest winners have the chance to win prizes that include movie tickets to Tinseltown Cinemark Movie Theatres and free bowling from Interstate Bowl.

The grand prize will be a set of two tickets for the NASCAR Nationwide and Food City 500 Sprint Cup races at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 17-18. To enter for a chance to win the tickets, simply come to the Lady Tornado basketball game and sign up for the drawing at the main gate before the end of halftime. The lucky winner will be announced at halftime of the men's basketball game and must be present to claim the tickets.

The Lady Tornado will kick off the day's activity with a 2:00 p.m. tipoff against the Trojans. The men's team will follow 20 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game with a tentative tipoff set for 4:00 p.m. Live statistics and video will be available for those unable to attend.
