Tornado come back to escape Erskine with 64-61 win
DUE WEST, S.C. – It’s not always how you start a game, but how you finish in conference play. The King University women’s basketball team trailed for most of their Conference Carolinas opener at Erskine College, but they overcame an 11 point second half deficit to escape with a narrow 64-61 win.

Durrett's double-double leads King to win at Salem International
SALEM, W.VA. – The King University women’s basketball team played their final game before the Thanksgiving break at Salem International University. The Tornado didn’t get off to a great start, but the rebounded to come back and take the 84-71 road victory.

King falls to Cobras at home
BRISTOL, Tenn. – In another early season nonconference matchup, the King University women’s basketball team faced crosstown rival Virginia Intermont College on Thursday night at the Student Center Complex. The Tornado took an early lead before the Cobras took the lead and didn’t look back as they took the game 66-61.

Tornado fall to Carson-Newman 78-75
BRISTOL, Tenn. – In a back-and-forth affair that saw ten lead changes and nine ties, the King University women’s basketball team fell short by a score of 78-75 to visiting Carson-Newman University.

King shoots the lights out in season-opening win
PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The King University women’s basketball team opened the 2013-14 season with a bang, scoring 100 points for the first time in more than four years. The Tornado made nearly 60 percent of their shots in their 102-78 victory at the University of Pikeville on Thursday night.

King eyes second straight postseason berth
BRISTOL, Tenn. – After improving its final record by nine games a season ago and earning the school’s first-ever berth in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, the King University women’s basketball team will look to build upon last year’s 14-13 overall record and make a second consecutive postseason appearance under third-year head coach Josh Thompson.

King tops Emory & Henry in exhibition
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's basketball team took an 86-76 win over Emory & Henry College in an exhibition contest at the Student Center Complex on Saturday night. The Tornado open the regular season on Thursday, November 14 at Pikeville University in Pikeville, Ky. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Tornado help build new obstacle course at Holston View
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s basketball team may be in their offseason, but they are still active in the community. On Saturday morning, the team was at Holston View Elementary helping build a new obstacle course for their students.
