GREENVILLE, Tenn. – In the second round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial, the King University women's golf team carded a team score of 323 to finish in 10th place with a total of 651. Cortnee Young and Anna Walker led the team in the final round while Esther Gandarias finished 17th.
Gandarias carded an 82 in the second round after shooting 75 in round one to finish with a total of 157. Young and Walker both shot 80's in the final round, and ended the tournament with identical stroke totals of 167.
Elizabeth Swallow followed a first round 79 with a second round 81 for a tournament total of 160, placing her 23rd. Kerby Jones rounded out the squad with an 88 in the second round, and finished with a total of 177,
The Tornado placed 10th with a total of 651 while host Tusculum College shot 615 to win the event by one stroke over Lander University. Lander's T. Gaballer Hernani shot 71-75 for a total of 146 to take the individual title.
King will be in action again at the Conference Carolinas Championship. The tournament will take place from April 20-23 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
