King finishes second at Conference Carolinas Championships

GRAHAM, N.C. – In the first year of the new Conference Carolinas golf tournament format, the King University women's golf team qualified for the final round match play. The Tornado defeated North Greenville University, but fell to Queens University and tied Mount Olive College to finish in second place.

Elizabeth Swallow led the Tornado with a third place finish after carding a 77 in the final round. She was followed by Esther Gandarias, who posted a 79 to finish in sixth place.

Anna Walker carded an 82 in the final round while Kerby Jones and Cortnee Young rounded out the squad, posting scores of 84 and 85, respectively.

Queens won the tournament with King and Mount Olive finishing in a tie for second and North Greenville placed fourth.
