Swallow, Walker named WGCA All-American Scholars
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Earlier this month, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced their All-American Scholars for the 2013-14 season, and two King University student-athletes were honored. Elizabeth Swallow and Anna Walker both earned the distinction for the second consecutive year.

Swallow named Capital One Academic All-District
BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University women’s golfer Elizabeth Swallow’s sophomore year has been nothing short of impressive as she added another award on Wednesday. Swallow was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District team in the at-large category.

Swallow finishes 24th at NCAA South Regional
DADE CITY, Fla. – The season may have come to an end, but Elizabeth Swallow capped a magnificent sophomore campaign with a 24th place finish at the NCAA South Regional Championship. Swallow, who is the first women’s golfer to qualify for an NCAA South Regional, ended the three round tournament with a score of 231 after carding a 78 in the final round on Tuesday.

Swallow moves up NCAA Regional leaderboard with 73 in 2nd round
DADE CITY, Fla. – King University women’s golfer Elizabeth Swallow had a bounce back day in the second round of the NCAA South Regional Championship, carding a one-over 73. Swallow got off to a slow start in the first round, but rebounded on Monday with a pair of birdies in the second round.

Swallow cards 80 in NCAA South Regional first round
DADE CITY, Fla. – Elizabeth Swallow made King University history on Sunday as she became the first Tornado women’s golfer to appear in the NCAA South Regional Championship. Swallow got off to a slow start in the first round of the three round event, but bounced back over the final nine holes to come away with an 80 in the opening round.

Swallow earns an individual place in NCAA South Regional
BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University women’s golfer Elizabeth Swallow has had an incredible sophomore campaign, which will continue for at least one more week. On Monday, the NCAA announced its field of the upcoming NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, and Swallow earned one of four individual spots in the South Region. With the selection, she becomes the first King women’s golfer to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament since the school became NCAA members in 2010-11.

Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, Swallow takes CC Championship
BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – After being named Conference Carolinas Player of the Year last night, King University women’s golfer Elizabeth Swallow capped the week by winning the Conference Carolinas Individual Championship by two strokes. Swallow led the Tornado to a fourth place finish in the Conference Carolinas Championships, which was shortened to two rounds due to rain.

That hasn’t changed in the Conference Carolinas Championships as the sophomore is tied atop the leaderboard after the first round. The Tornado posted a score of 332, and are in fifth with two rounds to play.

King takes 5th at Agnes McAmis Memorial
GREENEVIILE, Tenn. – The King University women’s golf team finally got to take the course at Link Hills Country Club on Tuesday after the first round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial was rained out on Monday. The Tornado shot 322 in the only round of the tournament to take fifth of 14 teams, and were led by Elizabeth Swallow who finished ninth.

Four Tornado golfers named academic all-conference
BRISTOL, Tenn. – With the Conference Carolinas Championships coming up next week, the league announced their men’s and women’s golf academic all-conference honorees. Three of the Tornado women’s golfers were honored and one member of the men’s team earned recognition.

First round of Agnes McAmis Memorial washed out
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – With rain falling in east Tennessee, the King University women’s golf team has been washed out on Monday. The Tornado were supposed to play in the first round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial, but the tournament has been shortened to just 18 holes on Tuesday.

Swallow named CC Golfer of the Month
BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time this season, King University women’s golfer Elizabeth Swallow has been selected Conference Carolinas Women’s Golfer of the Month. The sophomore took home her seventh top-10 finish of the season in as many tournaments last month.

PINEHURST, N.C. – In what were very tough conditions on a difficult golf course, the King University women’s golf team turned in a 10th place finish of 18 teams at the Wingate University Pinehurst Challenge. The Tornado shot 357 in the final round for a tournament total of 703. Elizabeth Swallow led the Tornado with a seventh place finish.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Elizabeth Swallow came into the final round of the Hilton Head Lakes Invitational only one stroke behind the leader. Swallow carded the same score she did in the first round, 76, en route to her third title of the season, taking individual medalist honors with the one stroke victory. As a team King finished seventh of 18 teams with a team score of 664.

COLUMBUS, Ga. – In an unusual three round tournament for NCAA Division II women’s golf, the King University women’s golf team took sixth at the TSYS Collegiate Classic with a tournament total of 1,017. Elizabeth Swallow led King as she took second after carding a one-under 71 in the tournament’s final round.

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Elizabeth Swallow continued her hot start to her sophomore campaign on Monday and Tuesday at the King University Invitational, winning the event by 10 strokes with an even-par score of 142. The King University women’s golf team posted a second round team score of 336 to place fourth with a two-day total of 659.

The sophomore carded a one-under 71 to win the first tournament of her career. She led the King University women’s golf team to a sixth place finish after their second round of 315, and two round total of 634.
