King finishes 14th at Patsy Rendleman Invite

SALISBURY, N.C. – The King University women's golf team improved upon their first round score at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational with a second round of 326. The Tornado finished 14th with a two-day total of 664. King was led by Elizabeth Swallow who finished sixth.

Swallow followed her first round of 77 with a second round of 77 to finish the tournament with a 154, placing sixth. Anna Walker and Karissa King followed her as they both shot second round scores of 82. Walker finished with a tournament total of 167 while King finished at 178 after posting her lowest round of the season in the second round.

Cortnee Young shots 85 in the final round after carding an 82 in the tournament's first round for a total of 167. Kerby Jones rounded out the squad with a second round 89 for a two-day total of 183.

King finished 14th at the event after shooting 326 in the second round for a two-day total of 664. UNC Pembroke won the tournament with a total of 628 while Newberry College finished second at 631.

King closes their fall schedule in two weeks at the Lady Flames Shootout in Cleveland, Tenn. The Tournament will take place at Cleveland Country Club on October 28-29.
