Tornado Wrestling picks up win at Limestone

GAFFNEY, S.C. - The King College men's wrestling team picked up a 22-20 win at Limestone (S.C.) College Tuesday.

Limestone, at 3-12, won the first three matches. Nic Stella (Sweet Home, N.Y.) needed overtime to win the 149-pound match for the Tornado's first win. After a loss at 157-pounds, Patrick Spano (Tampa, Fla.) posted a major 9-1 decision at 165-pounds. John Forbes (Miami, Fla.) followed with a 10-7 decision at 174 pounds. Brandon Tressler (Orlando, Fla.) and Frank Morgan (Maynardsville, Tenn.) were winners via pinfall which eventually clinched the match for King.

The match was between two NCAA Division II Super Region II foes as King was No. 6 with Limestone a spot behind in the last ranking.

King, now at 6-2-1, will wrestle at West Virginia Tech on Feb. 1.
