Third annual King Open scheduled for Sunday
BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King College men's wrestling team will be a part of the third annual King Open Sunday at nearby Viking Hall.
King will welcome at least 200 collegiate wrestlers from 13 teams to Viking Hall for the event. Teams from King, Tennessee Chattanooga, St. Andrews Presbyterian (N.C.) College, Belmont Abbey (N.C.) College, Newberry (S.C.) College, Ohio Valley (W.Va.) University, Campbellsville (Ky.) University, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College, the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), Cumberland (Tenn.) University, West Virginia Tech and Spartanburg Methodist (S.C.) College are scheduled to send wrestlers to the event. A club team representing East Tennessee State University will also compete.
In all 10 different weight classes will have competition.
The wrestling is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Concessions will be available at the event.
