Women's Soccer Announces New Signee

Shalisa Barnett comes to King via Baylor School in Chattanooga. The West Bay, Caymen Islands native completed her junior and senior year at the Baylor School under 2010 NSCAA High school coach of the year Jimmy Weekly.

In 2011, Barnett was a state champion and was part of the team that finished the season ranked #3 in the nation by ESPN. In 2012 she was named to the all- region and all-state team on route to a state tournament semi-final appearance. In addition Barnett played club soccer with FC Alliance (Knoxville TN) and Future SC (Caymen Islands). Shalisa is the daughter of Sandra and Mike and Barnet and plans to major in Sports Management.

Coach Duffy commented "Shalisa is another quality addition to our 2013 class. Her high school and club experience should allow her to make an immediate impact. She is calm on the ball, has a strong range of passing and is a good modern day center midfielder. Shalisa is also a good student and having come from a high school with high academic standards, she will adapt to the college environment easily. We are excited for her future here at King"
