Falcons top King 9-0

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The King University women's tennis team traveled to Pfeiffer University for another Conference Carolinas duel match. The Falcons came away with a 9-0 victory.

Playing with four players, King (0-15, 0-9 CC) dropped all three doubles matches. Pfeiffer (13-3, 9-0 CC) took the No. 1 doubles match 8-3, and No. 2 doubles match 8-1.

Naomi Reyes fell to Taylor Lindsay 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles while Karissa King dropped her No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-3 to Hannah Watson. At No. 4 singles, Amanda Huffaker fell 6-3, 6-2 to Melinda Athay, and Mariana Hosomi fell 6-0, 6-1 to Valeria Mendoza at No. 2 singles.

King will be in action again on Thursday when they travel to UNC Asheville. The duel match is supposed to start at 2:00 p.m.
