GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team played their first dual of the season as they traveled to Tusculum College on Monday. The Tornado fell to the Pioneers 9-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pioneers took a pair of wins by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles to take a quick 2-0 lead.
- The advantage grew as Tusculum took both doubles matches, 8-0 at the top flight and 8-1 at the second flight.
- Tusculum then took the remaining five singles matches, starting with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the top flight.
- For the Tornado, Thalía Roustand Ruiz fell to Africa Mota 6-1, 6-1 while Vanessa Francois fell to Julia Lopez 6-2, 6-0 at the third flight.
- The Pioneers then won the final two singles in super sets 8-1 and 8-0 to take the dual 9-0.
