BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College, as a part of hosting the 2010 NCCAA Division I Mid-East Region Volleyball Tournament on Friday and Saturday, will be collecting food items as part of the NCCAA Community Outreach Project.
Fans are asked to donate food items such as cereal, peanut butter, canned meats, canned soups, canned fruit & vegetables, boxed meals and macaroni & cheese. All food items will given to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.
The event will have six matches on Friday as a part of pool play. King gets the event underway with a 9 a.m. match against Tennessee Temple University. The Lady Tornado play again at 5 p.m. against Asbury (Ky.) University. Saturday's action starts with two semifinal contests with the championship to be decided at 3 p.m.
King enters the event as the No. 3 seed and ranked No. 7 in the NCCAA.
