King Volleyball maintains individual NCAA rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - King College once again had three individual Top-50 stat rankings in the latest NCCAA Division II Women's Volleyball report, the national office released.

Kaitlyn Musick (Weber City, Va.) went to No. 7 in the nation's hitting percentage category. Musick had a .445 percentage at the end of play last week which was down from the No. 2 ranking of .487. Samantha Middleborn, from California State San Bernardino held onto the top spot nationally with a percentage of .588.

Kelsey Griffitts (Bristol, Va.) maintained the No. 10 spot with her .423 hitting percentage. In all three national reports Griffitts has been in the Top-25 with a percentage over .400.

Shannon Earwood (Carson City, Nev.) saw her assists per set drop to 9.83, but she remained in the Top-50 at No. 48. Last week she was No. 38 with an average of 10.03. Concorida-St. Paul's Amanda Konetchy has the top spot thanks to a 12.57 assists per set average.

In the team categories, the Lady Tornado's .258 hitting percentage came in at No. 24. The top spot was owned by Dowling with a .378 percentage. King also ranked No. 25 with a .833 winning percentage as five teams remain undefeated in NCAA Division II ranks.

The Lady Tornado, now at 11-2 thanks to a 3-1 win at Milligan (Tenn.) College Tuesday, will be a part of the East Stroudsburg State Farm Volleyball Classic this weekend.
