In her last two seasons with the Rebels, she was named to the Honorable Mention All-Big 8 Team and was twice named to the All-Conference Academic Team (2011, 2012). Collins was named to the Principal's Honor Roll all four years of her high school career (2009, '10, '11, '12) and was named a 4.0 Distinguished Junior in 2012.
On the club level, Collins was a member of the Kingsport Volleyball Club.
Toomey on Collins: "Sarah will be coming to our program with great training from both her high school and club teams. Sarah is an intense competitor who has a commanding, physical presence at the net. Her strong work ethic, passion for the game, and aggressive play will allow her to make significant contributions to our front line. She will certainly fill our needed depth in the middle blocker position. I am thrilled to add such a talented player, committed student, and strong leader to our team."

Kingsport, Tenn. | Dobyns-Bennett H.S.
Ashton Beckner will bring with her to King a much decorated career at Dobyns-Bennett High School. As a senior, Beckner helped the Indians to the Regional Tournament where she was selected as an All-Region honoree in 2012. In her final two years at DBHS, she was named to the Big 8 All-Tournament Team and earned All-Conference First Team honors.
As a freshman in 2009, Beckner was part of a Tennessee State Championship team and followed that by earning State runner-up honors in 2010. In 2011, the Indians went to the District 1-AAA tournament and were runners-up.
On the academic side, Beckner is a two-time Academic All-Conference selection (2011, 2012) and was named a Tennessee/Virginia Scholar. She is also a member of the DBHS Beta Club and the National Honors Society.
Beckner also played her club volleyball with the Kingsport Volleyball Club with fellow signee Sarah Collins.
Toomey on Beckner: "Ashton is a tremendous athlete and dynamic player. She comes from strong high school and club programs, so she knows how to win. She has great leaping ability and lots of energy on the court. I believe she will be able to contribute in several different positions on the front row. From the moment that Ashton visited King, it was clear that she was a great fit for our program, so I am so excited that it is official and she will be in a King uniform next season."
