Lambert leads Lady Tornado onto WCWA Individual Rankings

BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College placed 10 wrestlers in the newest WCWA National Individual Rankings, including the top spot for Marina Lambert.

Lambert, a freshman from Chesapeake, Va., was put atop the 90-kilogram rankings after starting the season undefeated.

Lisa Martinez (Amarillo, Texas) and Alli Ragan (Carbondale, Ill.) are both second in their weight classes, Martinez in the 44-kilogram and Ragan in the 63-kilogram.

Amber Floyd (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) landed at No. 3 among 80-kilogram wrestlers.

Emily Martin (Frisco, Texas) was fourth in the 48-kilogram standings, the same spot Haylee Childs (Lakeland, Fla.) had among 59-kilogram wrestlers.

King placed Stacy Martin (Frisco, Texas) and Victoria Nguyen (Johnson City, Tenn.) in the Top-8 within the 51-kilogram rankings with Martin fifth and Nguyen eighth.

Hanna Martin (Oklahoma City, Okla.) led King in the 55-kilogram rankings at No. 6 with teammate Kat Perez (El Centro, Calif.) eighth.

Earlier in the week King was No. 3 in the national team rankings from the WCWA.

Next on the schedule for King will be a rematch against No. 1 Oklahoma City University on Jan. 15 in Bristol. No. 6 Missouri Valley University will also be a part of the wrestling action that day.
