WINGATE, N.C. – The King University women's cross country team wrapped up their season on Saturday at the NCAA Southeast Regional where they finished 20th. Hannah Kusmierz led the way with a 71st place finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Kusmierz crossed the tape first for the Tornado with a time of 25:07.40.
  • Kaitlin Rivera was the next to finish with a time of 26:05.84.
  • Coming in next was senior Abbi Pierce with a time of 26:47.94.
  • Kirstin Barton finished in a time of 28:13.06 and Audrey McCormick crossed the tape next with a time of 28:40.87.
  • Emily Sutherland rounded out the squad with a time of 29:14.92.

FOR THE FOES

  • Queens University won the team title while Anderson University finished second and the University of Mount Olive took third.
  • Leah Hanley of Mount Olive won the individual title with a time of 21:15.43.
