BRISTOL, Tenn. – If you haven’t been to the Student Center Complex to see the King University women’s volleyball team play, Tuesday night is the perfect opportunity. The Tornado will be hosting their annual Dig Pink event and taking donations that will go towards breast cancer research. Following the conclusion of the volleyball match, fans can stay to get their first glimpse of the King men’s and women’s basketball teams at Late Night Madness where the King athletics department will have a major announcement about the upcoming season.
First serve of the volleyball match against Conference Carolinas rival Lees-McRae College is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., and fans who wear pink will receive free admission to the contest. Fans will have an opportunity to donate to breast cancer research when they enter the building. There will be games and opportunities for fans to win prizes throughout the match, starting with an award for the person that is the most “pinked-out.” Between the second and third sets, there will be a serving competition where fans can win free gift cards and t-shirts. King SLACK will also be giving out volleyballs and pom-poms.
At the conclusion of the volleyball match, join us for the annual Late Night Madness, and a big announcement from the King athletics department. This is your chance to meet the King men’s and women’s basketball teams as they kick off their new season. Fans will also get a chance to meet the Tornado cheerleaders. The event will consist of a three-point contest, a cheerleading performance and the night will be capped with a dunk contest. On the way out, fans can enjoy a treat from Blackbird bakery compliments of the King athletic department.
