Kim had a big start to the season, earning Conference Carolinas Player of the Week after leading King to a pair of wins over NCAA Division I foe Saint Francis University (Pa.). In the opening match he posted 18 kills and 11 digs before accounting for 19 kills and seven digs the next day. For the month, Kim averaged 3.83 kills per set while hitting .295. Kim also posted averages of 0.42 service aces per set and 2.08 digs per set.
