Thompson had a big week for the Tornado going 11-for-20 for a .550 batting average. She laced two doubles, a triple and drove in five while scoring six runs from the second spot in the lineup. She has a hit an all eight games this season, including all six last week. The senior posted two hits in each of the final five games last week for the Tornado as they swept doubleheaders from Mars Hill University and Carson-Newman University and defeated Lincoln Memorial University. Thompson scored a pair of runs helping King to their first doubleheader sweep of Carson-Newman in school history. In the comeback win at Lincoln Memorial, Thompson drove in three on two hits and scored one as King erased a 9-0 deficit to win 11-10.
