BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University Athletic Trainer, Shelia Crockett announced the hire of Kristen Semrow to round out her staff. Semrow joins the Tornado staff after working at Asbury University in Kentucky.
"I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the King University Athletic Training staff," Semrow said. "I'm looking forward to working with the athletes here at King, and I hope to make a meaningful contribution to the success of this program."
Semrow graduated from the University of Kentucky in the spring of 2018 with her Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training. While attending graduate school, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with several of the teams at Asbury, including men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, and baseball.
"We are delighted to have Kristen as part of our athletic training staff," Crockett said. "She offers a wealth of knowledge in the athletic training profession and I have no doubt that she will make an impact in our program."
Prior to attending the University of Kentucky, Kristen received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training in 2012 from Winona State University in Minnesota, while minoring in Psychology. As a student athletic trainer, she spent a lot of her time with the university teams, local high school teams, and sports medicine clinics. Along with being a student athletic trainer, she also played on the club women's rugby team for two years.
Semrow is a native of Madison, Wis., and her first day on campus will be August 1.
