Slonski joined the Tornado staff prior to the 2017-18 season as a graduate assistant and in May of 2018 she was hired in a full-time role.
She has helped numerous student-athletes improve their performance, starting in the weight room. This year she helped taught several throwers how to throw the javelin and improve on personal bests throughout the season. Slonski also helped Adriel McPhee set the school record in the 110 high hurdles.
This season at King, Slonski helped coach Jaylen Foster to a third place finish in the high jump, ninth place finish in the long jump, and a seventh place finish in the triple jump at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships. Foster also recorded a personal best long jump record of 6.63 meters at the Catamount Classics during the outdoor season under Slonski’s tutelage.
Prior to joining the Tornado staff, Slonski was a stand-out athlete at University Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC). While there she earned All-America East honors and was the runner-up at the America East Championships in the javelin in 2016 and 2017. She owns the school record in the javelin with a mark of 45.15 meters and was the runner-up in the collegiate division at the Penn Relays in 2017. Slonski was the first UMBC javelin thrower to qualify for the NCAA Prelims.
