WILSON, N.C. – The King University men's tennis team continued Conference Carolinas play on the road Saturday at Barton College. The Bulldogs started the match with three wins at doubles before taking all six singles matches for the 9-0 victory.
Starting things off for King (3-8, 2-3 CC) was the No. 1 doubles team of Luis Delgado and Moritz Poswiat falling to Jake McCartney and Rafael Ruiz Velasco 8-6. Barton (4-2, 2-0 CC) took the next two doubles matches, opening their lead to 3-0.
In singles play, Poswiat won at No. 3 singles 7-6(7-5), 7-6(8-6), 10-3 for King's only win of the day. Lennard Keswani fell at No. 1 6-0, 6-1 while Delgado fell at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-3.
The Tornado will be back in action next on Friday, March 20 when they play host to North Greenville University.
