Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team got back into the win column on Friday night as they hosted Marymount University in the Student Center Complex. The Tornado got 17 kills from Jeff Sprayberry as they took the 3-0 sweep from the Saints.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado gained separation in the first set with a 5-0 run that was started by a Sprayberry kill. Jon Wheaton on Nick Drooker capped the run that gave King a 14-9 lead with a block.
- King later scored four straight points, capped by a pair of Drooker aces to take a 19-13 lead.
- The Saints scored four straight points before King scored the final two points of the set, the final on a Sprayberry kill, giving King the 25-20 victory.
- With the score even at 9-9 in the second set, the Tornado made their move again. King scored three straight on kills from Sprayberry, Sean Luhmann and Adrian Besson. In all King scored five-of-six points to take a 14-10 lead.
- The Tornado later went on a 7-2 run, gaining separation before Sprayberry gave King the 25-19 win with another kill.
- The third set was the tightest frame all night with the Saints taking a 10-5 lead in the early going.
- King the scored six straight points, to take the lead as the team started to trade points.
- King scored three straight points, and a block by Dalton Johnson and Drooker gave King a 19-16 lead.
- Marymount trailed 20-19 before King scored three straight points, including the final two on blocks from Johnson and Sprayberry and then Johnson and Luhmann.
- Sprayberry registered a kill, giving King the 25-22 victory in the third set for the sweep.
- Sprayberry led King with 17 kills and seven digs.
- Luhmann added eight kills and three digs.
- Drooker handed out 30 assists to go along with seven digs.
- Johnson led King with six block assists and one solo stuff.
- Besson registered five blocks to go along with six digs, and Wheaton added four stuffs.

FOR THE FOES
- TJ Wiechecki led Marymount with 10 kills and four digs.
- Erich Bratke handed out 23 digs and accounted for six digs.
- Albert Johansson posted a match-high 12 digs.
