Box Score LORETTO, Pa. – After their tournament early in the week, the King University men's volleyball team traveled to take on Saint Francis University on Saturday night. The Tornado took the second set, evening the match at one, but the home standing Red Flash took the final two sets for the 3-1 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King held an 8-5 lead early in the first set as Jon Wheaton started a 4-0 King run with a kill. The spurt was capped by a Jeff Sprayberry service ace.
- However, the Red Flash scored five of the next seven points to even the score at 10-10. In all Saint Francis went on a 5-0 run, taking a 12-10 advantage.
- The Red Flash gradually extended their advantage and ultimately took the first set 25-16.
- King answered, however, taking the second set. The Tornado rallied from a 15-13 deficit to take a 16-15 lead following a Julian Young service ace.
- King then held the upper hand for the remainder of the set before Sprayberry and Adrian Besson gave King the 25-20 victory with back-to-back kills.
- The score was tied for the final time at 14 before Saint Francis scored three straight points to gain an advantage.
- The Red Flash held that lead, but had to hold off a late King rally to take the third set 25-23.
- King got back-to-back kills from Wheaton and Luhmann to take an early lead in the fourth set and Sprayberry registered another kill, gaving King a 9-5 following the 5-0 run.
- The Tornado held a lead for the majority of the set and Sprayberry gave King a 21-20 lead with a kill.
- However, Saint Francis closed the set on a 5-0 run, taking the frame 25-21 and the match 3-1.
- Sprayberry led King with 22 kills and seven digs while Luhmann added 11 kills and seven digs.
- Nick Drooker posted 45 assists and five digs.
- Besson also recorded a team-high seven digs to go along with six kills.
FOR THE FOES
- Jeff Hogan led Saint Francis with 20 kills and 14 digs.
- Stephen Braswell added 16 kills and Brandon Buck chipped in with 12 kills.
- Daniel Ford handed out 51 assists and Gabe Woffindin posted 10 digs.
