Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – As they have all season long, the King University made more history on Tuesday night when they defeated North Greenville University 3-0. With the win, King clinched their first Conference Carolinas regular season title in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The King offense played one of their best matches of the season, starting with a .714 attack percentage in the first set.
- King made only one error in the first set, taking the frame from the Crusaders 25-9.
- The Tornado started with a 4-0 and later went on a 10-1 run to gain separation before Adrian Besson gave King the set with his third kill of the set.
- The second set was even at 10 before the Tornado scored seven of the next eight points, including five straight to open up a 17-11 advantage.
- Besson had three kills on the run while Jeff Sprayberry posted a pair of kills on the spurt.
- The Tornado closed out the set with three straight points, capped by Eddie Moushikhian's second kill of the frame for the 25-17 victory.
- Early in the third set, King went on a 9-2 run to open up a 10-4 lead following a Jon Wheaton kill.
- A Moushikhian service ace later gave King an 18-8 lead and forced a North Greenville timeout.
- Kiel Bell gave King the 25-15 win to take the match 3-0 with his sixth kill of the match.
- Sprayberry led King with 13 kills and hit .476, making only three errors on 21 attempts.
- Moushikhian and Besson followed with seven kills each, hitting .385 and .400, respectively.
- Wheaton chipped in with four kills and three block assists.
- Nick Drooker handed out 30 assists to go along with a team-high six digs.
FOR THE FOES
- Matthew McManaway led the Crusaders with eight kills while Kyle Brandt followed with seven.
- Alexander Schinzing handed out 17 assists and Dustin King led the defense with four digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- King finishes the regular season with a school record 27 wins, having won a program record 16 Conference Carolinas matches.
- The win gives King their first Conference Carolinas regular season title as they ended tied with Barton College with league marks of 16-2.
- King will be the second seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament that starts on Tuesday.
- The Tornado hit .483 in the match, their second highest output of the season, and the third time they have hit better than .400.
- King hit .644 in a 3-0 win over Pfeiffer University on January 31.
