King has 219 student-athletes named to ConfCarolinas Presidential Honor Roll

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas announced their Presidential Honor Roll for the fall semester and King University was one of five schools to have at least 200 student-athletes named to the list with 219. The Tornado baseball team led the way for King teams with 22 student-athletes on the list.

Emmanuel College led the league with 334 while Belmont Abbey College was second at 284 and North Greenville University was third at 257. The University of Mount Olive had 245 before the Tornado came in next with 219 student-athletes named to the list.

The King baseball team led the way with 22 student-athletes named to the list and cheer team came in next with 19. Men's soccer and acrobatics & tumbling teams were next, each having 14 student-athletes gain recognition. The softball and men's track & field team had 13 named to the list while the women's volleyball team had 12. Women's wrestling and men's golf were the final teams to reach double figures with 10 apiece.

Each semester this recognition is given to student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.2 of higher on the 4-point scale. All student-athletes, including underclassmen, transfers, and those who play non-conference sports, are eligible for the recognition as long as they have participated in a sport for the semester in question. The Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll is awarded twice each school year, recognizing the scholastic achievements of student-athletes for each semester.
