Box Score CENTRAL, S.C. – The King University women's soccer team fell behind Southern Wesleyan University early on Wednesday evening and couldn't recover. The Tornado tried to mount a comeback in the second half, but the Warrior defense was too tight as Southern Wesleyan took the contest 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern Wesleyan jumped out to a lead as Ashley Romanowski found the back of the net four minutes in.
- King then tried to turn the field, as Anya Gross followed with a shot on target, but it was saved.
- The Tornado had three more shots over the next 10 minutes, but not on frame.
- Erin Foster kept King close, making six saves in the opening half, including four in a 15-minute stretch.
- Meghan O'Ferral had a pair of shots in the 30th minute, one was saved, and the other went off the crossbar.
- The Warriors extended their lead to 2-0 in the 36th minute when Heily Hernandez found the back of the net.
- Maya Houston place on shot on goal in the 44th minute, but it was saved, and Foster made a pair of saves in the final five minutes, sending the Tornado to halftime down 2-0.
- King tried to comeback in the second half, taking 12 shots with four on goal.
- Two of those shots came in the first five minutes as Hope Lissitz started the half with a shot and Erin Peters followed with another shot.
- O'Ferral had another shot turned away in the 64th minute before having another glance off the crossbar in the 80th minute.
- That was the best opportunity the Tornado had in the second half as they fell to Southern Wesleyan 2-0.
