King University Honorees
Conference Carolinas Release
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Conference Carolinas announced their Presidential Honor Roll for the spring semester and King University was one of six schools to have at least 200 student-athletes named to the list with 235. The Tornado baseball team led the way for King teams with 20 student-athletes on the list.
Limestone College and Belmont Abbey College led the league with 279 honorees each, while Emmanuel College was third at 275 and North Greenville University was fourth at 251. The Tornado came in next with 235 student-athletes named to the list and the University of Mount Olive had 223 named.
The King baseball team led the way with 20 student-athletes named to the list with the cheer team coming in next with 17. Women's soccer and softball came in next with 16 each. While women's track & field, softball and men's soccer all followed with 15 honorees.
Each semester this recognition is given to student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.2 or higher on the four-point scale. All student-athletes, including underclassmen, transfers, and those who play non-conference sports, are eligible for the recognition as long as they have participated in a sport for the semester in question. The Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll is awarded twice each school year, recognizing the scholastic achievements of student-athletes for each semester.
